The 12 Stages of Healing - Stage 3

Healing unfolds through awareness, rhythm, and growth. Each stage in the Stages of Healing offers information that supports change when it is met with presence and curiosity. No stage exists to be fixed or rushed. Each one completes itself by being acknowledged fully.

A Brief Recap
Earlier in this series, the focus moved through Stage One: Suffering and Stage Two: Polarities and Rhythms. Stage One introduced awareness and acceptance, the moment when something feels off and asks for attention. Stage Two explored the outward search for relief and the recognition of internal rhythms and patterns. Together, these stages prepare awareness for deeper insight.

Stage 3: Stuck in a Perspective
Stage Three centers on a simple yet powerful realization. Distress often connects to being stuck in a particular way of seeing, thinking, or  responding. This stage brings awareness to fixation. Concepts may feel rigid. Physical patterns may feel repetitive. Reactions may seem automatic. What becomes clear is that something has been held in place for a long time.

This stage does not require answers or solutions.  Understanding why the perspective formed or how to change it usually comes later. For now, the work is awareness. Noticing the stuck place. Acknowledging that a viewpoint, belief, or pattern has narrowed experience. This recognition alone begins to loosen what has been fixed.

Stage Three offers clarity without pressure. By simply being with the realization of being stuck, space begins to open. Awareness expands. The body and nerve system receive the signal that something new is possible. This stage lays the groundwork for reclaiming choice and movement, even before the next step becomes clear.

Coming Next: Stage 4
Stage Four explores what happens when awareness of being stuck gives rise to reclaiming power and choice. This stage introduces the moment when old patterns begin to lose authority and new possibilities emerge.
