The 12 Stages of Healing - Stage 7

Healing unfolds through awareness, growth, integration, and release. Each stage builds upon the one before it, creating a natural progression toward greater wholeness. Every stage serves a purpose, and each offers valuable information that supports the healing process when it is met with presence and trust.

A Brief Recap

In the previous stage, Stage Six: Preparation for Resolution, energy and awareness that had been held beneath the surface began moving toward release. Tensions often became more noticeable as the body and nerve system prepared for change. This preparation created the foundation for the next stage of healing.

Stage Seven: Resolution

Stage Seven is the stage of release and resolution. Energy that has been building throughout the previous stages finally finds an opportunity to move and express itself. This release can occur in many ways. Some people experience physical movement, such as stretching, shaking, or spontaneous changes in posture. Others may notice emotional expressions such as crying, laughing, or deep sighs. The body may also respond through natural processes like coughing, sneezing, sweating, or fever as it organizes itself toward balance.

While these experiences may appear different on the surface, they share a common purpose. The body and nerve system are releasing stored tension and completing a process that has been unfolding through the earlier stages of healing. What was once held is now able to move.

The defining feature of Stage Seven is not simply the release itself. It is the sense of completion that often follows. A feeling of peace may emerge. Clarity becomes more accessible. Inner strength feels more available. The struggle that once consumed attention begins to lose its grip. There is often a sense that something important has shifted, even when it is difficult to put into words.

Resolution does not mean life suddenly becomes free of challenges. Instead, it reflects the completion of a particular healing cycle. The energy that was tied up in distress becomes available for growth, creativity, connection, and purpose. This stage reminds us that healing is not only about letting go. It is also about creating space for something new to emerge.

Coming Next: Stage Eight

Stage Eight explores the experience of building a new perspective after resolution has occurred. This stage introduces greater clarity, expanded awareness, and the opportunity to engage life with a renewed sense of possibility.
